HSV professional Robert Glatzel sets a record

Hamburger SV’s Robert Glatzel equaled the record set by Nils Petersen and Hans Haunstein with a hat-trick in the second division top game against leaders Darmstadt 98 on Sunday. All three were successful three times in a row from the start until the 13th minute of the game.

There were 7:45 minutes between the Glatzel goals, which, however, did not mean a record. Petersen needed only 5 minutes and 2 seconds in July 2015.

However, the hat-trick record in the second division was set by Helmut Hampl from Hessen Kassel (1983) and Werner Lenz from Union Solingen (1979), each with hat-tricks within four minutes.
