Kevin-Prince Boateng wants to complete his last season in the Bundesliga with Hertha BSC without turbulence.
“This is definitely my last season, I want to enjoy every day. I’ll do everything again, then it’s over,” said the 35-year-old at the training camp in Kienbaum, “last year was so turbulent, it can’t get any worse”.
Hertha only saved themselves last season in the relegation against Hamburger SV.
For Boateng, the 2-0 win in the second leg in the Hanseatic city is a turning point for the upcoming season: “It was a saving game to say we won’t be in this situation again. And if we get there, we’ll know at least what it takes to get out of there as soon as possible.”
Meanwhile, on the second day in Kienbaum, Brandenburg, Jessic Ngankam had to stop the morning training session. After a pressing blow, the 21-year-old striker left the pitch with a bandage on his left knee. A diagnosis should be made the following day.
