Bundesliga club Hertha BSC has tied home-grown player Julian Eitschberger to the club for the long term.
As the capital club announced on Tuesday, the 18-year-old right-back signed a contract until 2026.
“We are very pleased that in Julian we were able to bind another of our own academy talents to Hertha BSC in the long term,” said managing director Fredi Bobic: “We want to support him as best we can in his development as a professional. He brings talent and mentality with him, that’s what we want we will continue to promote.”
Eitschberger, who has been with Hertha since 2017, made his Bundesliga debut last season in a 4-1 loss to Union Berlin. With the U19s he was in the final of the German championship, which was lost 1:2 against Borussia Dortmund.
He is currently completing the preparation in the professional squad of coach Sandro Schwarz.
