The Dutch football champions Ajax Amsterdam have conquered the lead in the Eredivisie.
In the top game at PSV Eindhoven, the defending champions won 2-1 (1-0) and pushed past the team around World Cup hero Mario Götze. After 20 match days, Ajax are now two points ahead of Eindhoven.
Brian Brobbey, loan player from RB Leipzig, scored the lead for the guests (34th). Former international Götze equalized with a low shot in the 53rd minute before right-back Noussair Mazraoui (74′) scored for the Dutch doubles winner.
For Eindhoven it was the first league bankruptcy since the end of October. At that time, coach Roger Schmidt’s team also lost to Ajax Amsterdam (0:5).
