After two more positive corona cases, Germany’s handball players are recruiting staff for the European Championship.
Shortly before the group final against Poland in Bratislava, national coach Alfred Gislason nominated goalkeeper Daniel Rebmann from Frisch Auf Göppingen and left winger Patrick Zieker from TVB Stuttgart.
The 62-year-old Icelander was reacting to the failure of Till Klimpke and Marcel Schiller, who had tested positive and had to go into isolation at the team hotel.
Rebmann and Zieker are scheduled to arrive in Bratislava on January 19 and reinforce the German team in the main round.
