Giannis Antetokounmpo will represent Greece at EuroBasket 2022 and will face Luka Doncic

The Milwaukee Bucks star confirmed to his country’s Basketball Federation if he will be available to represent his native country in the national team tournament.

Prior to the start of the next season in theNational Basketball Association (NBA)in the month of September a new edition of theEuroBasketthe main tournament of selections of the Old Continent, and that this year will be able to count onGiannis Antetokounmpo.

The continental contest will be held from September 1 to 18, in four different countries:Germany, Georgia, Italy and the Czech Republicwhich will feature several figures from the best basketball in the world, who usually cannot represent their countries due to the competition schedule.

The presence ofLuka Doncićwho will be defending the title won in 2017 withSloveniain addition toRudy Gobertwho will play for France, the last NBA MVP,Nikola Jockicwith Greece, and only the confirmation, or not, of the presence of Giannis was missing.

In this way, Antetokounmpo, two-time winner of the Most Valuable Player award and NBA champion in 2021, will be part of Greece in Group C, to be played in the city of Milan, where he will face the localItalyin addition toUkraine, Croatia, Estonia and Great Britain.
