From the NBA to the MLS! Dwyane Wade becomes owner of Real Salt Lake

In what has been a relatively busy offseason for the Major League Soccer (MLS), is a former star of the National Basketball Association (NBA) the one that arrived to give it an extra spice: Dwayne Wade announced as the new owner of Real Salt Lake.

The Chicago, IL native has already made investments in the State of Utah, when he became a minority partner of the Utah Jazz of the NBA. It seems the former Heat liked the city of Real Salt Lake, and now he gets even more involved with the community.

The announcement was made by Wade himself on his Twitter account. The post was accompanied by an image where you can see the team’s jerseys along with those of the other franchise owners, Ryan Smith and Ryan Sweeney, who will accompany Wade on this adventure.
