Formula E: Mortara wins in Marrakech

The German Formula E drivers again missed the podium in the tenth round of the electric racing series.

In Marrakech, Morocco, Porsche driver Pascal Wehrlein finished twelfth in the third win of the season for Swiss driver Edoardo Mortara, with his team-mate André Lotterer three places behind.

With his victory in southern Morocco, 35-year-old Mortara, who celebrated his fifth success in Formula E, also took the lead in the overall standings. The man from Geneva replaced the Belgian Stoffel Vandoorne, who awarded a lot of points in eighth place.

Behind Mortara (Rokit Venturi Racing), Portuguese António Félix da Costa (DS Techeetah) and Australian Mitch Evans (Jaguar Racing) took the next places in Marrakesh. Fourth was Frenchman Jean-Éric Vergne (DS Techeetah), who was second in the overall ranking.

The next two World Championship races will take place in New York on July 16th and 17th.
