As the new CEO of Fortuna Düsseldorf, Alexander Jobst has pleaded for more togetherness.
“Knots have to be untied and strengths bundled in order to develop Düsseldorf further,” said Jobst at his presentation.
The 48-year-old former board member of FC Schalke 04 will take up his post in Düsseldorf on February 14th. Jobst will succeed Thomas Röttgermann at the second division soccer team. He had refused to extend his contract, which expired in the summer.
At Jobst’s side on the board is, among others, club legend Klaus Allofs. The 65-year-old former professional will become the sports director and will also keep the communications department. But there were also critical tones from the former national player.
“I’m glad that clear relationships have now been created about the structure of the board. But it’s no secret that I had imagined it to be in a different constellation,” said Allofs. The collaboration with Röttgermann was based on trust. But I accept these decisions of the board of directors, “said Allofs.
