In the search for reinforcements, BVB may have found what they were looking for in the Belgian first division. Supposedly, winger Noa Lang from FC Brugge has been targeted by Dortmund’s Borussia.
As the Italian sports newspaper “Gazzetta dello Sport” reports, BVB is one of the clubs flirting with a commitment from Bruges’ shooting star Noa Lang. The 22-year-old winger is considered a real top talent and has been much more than just an insider tip since his call to the Dutch national team last year.
Lang’s contract in Bruges runs until 2025, but numerous clubs are already preparing for a possible transfer next summer. In addition to BVB, the “Gazzetta” also mentions AC Milan and the Premier League clubs Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool.
Flexible offensive power for BVB?
According to the report, the fee for Lang is around 25 million euros. For this amount, BVB would get a player who would definitely have made his way onto the notes of the big clubs by the 2020/21 season at the latest.
With 22 points in just 24 appearances, the winger led his club to their second championship in a row last year. And in the current season, Lang has again scored 16 points (six goals, ten assists) in just 22 games.
Lang’s big plus: He can not only be used on the left wing he prefers, but also on the right flank and in the wing. That naturally makes the Dutch international interesting for many clubs.
Gladbach was also interested in Lang
In Germany, Lang hit the headlines a few months ago – but not for sporting reasons. Because he sang an anti-Semitic fan curve song with the fans of FC Brugge, the Belgian association investigated him. The club, on the other hand, defended Lang and denied the allegation.
A few months ago, the Dutchman was already associated with a move to the Bundesliga. At that time, “calciomercato” claimed that Borussia Mönchengladbach was interested in a commitment.
