At its first meeting, the new governing body of the International Ski Federation (FIS) confirmed the exclusion of Russia and Belarus for the summer season as well.
In the autumn, the situation is to be reassessed because of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.
At the first meeting in Zurich on Tuesday, the FIS also decided to increase the prize money by ten percent at the start of the season. The increase affects all World Cup events for women and men. The FIS bears 20 percent of the total amount.
In May, the re-election of FIS President Johan Eliasch caused a great deal of excitement. In the meantime, the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) is dealing with the complaint of four national associations to the German Ski Association (DSV) against the election.
