Almost two weeks before the Winter Olympics at the Bavarian Open in her adopted home of Oberstdorf, figure skater Nicole Schott continued to work on her form for Beijing. The 25-year-old from Essen took second place in the international competition with 170.03 points, but still has room for improvement.
In the short program, the five-time German champion messed up the jump combination with a triple flip and didn’t even jump off the triple Rittberger. In the freestyle, she made no real mistake, but only mastered four triple jumps, while risking two more only doubles.
The winner in Oberstdorf was Schott’s training colleague Kristina Isaev from Mannheim with 176.67 points.
