After Jann-Fiete Arp and FC Bayern Munich are said to have agreed on a contract termination, the striker is about to sign with a new club.
As the “picture“-Zeitung reports, Arp is firmly committed by the second division club Holstein Kiel. Accordingly, an agreement is imminent. The 22-year-old was last loaned to the Storks.
“I hope that we can come to a decision in the Fiete Arp case in a timely manner,” confirmed sports director Uwe Stöver to the “Kieler Nachrichten”.
In mid-June, “Bild” reported that FC Bayern and Jann-Fiete Arp were terminating the contract. This was apparently – contrary to what was thought – not dated until 2024, but expired in the summer of 2023. The agreement is said to mean that Arp will receive a high settlement of three million euros for his departure from Munich.
FC Bayern transferred exactly the same amount to Hamburger SV in 2019 to bring the winner of the 2017 Fritz Walter Gold Medal to Säbener Straße.
In Munich, Arp played almost exclusively for the second team in the 3rd division. He played his only game for the professionals in the DFB Cup against 1. FC Düren.
Has FC Bayern secured a resale clause?
Last summer, Arp was loaned to Holstein Kiel in the 2nd Bundesliga. But even in the north, the native of Bad Segeberg only made 25 competitive appearances. A meager yield of three goals and two assists is on the books.
Nevertheless, Arp’s services are apparently still being used in Kiel. The attacker is already doing all of the preparation with the team and has been convincing with four goals in the previous friendlies.
According to “Bild”, FC Bayern and the North Germans have already agreed that Munich will receive a 35 percent clause in the event of a possible resale of Arps by his new club for their accommodation in the termination of the contract.
