Bundesliga club Schalke 04 celebrated a shooting match in their first test match of the pre-season.
The promoted team clearly defeated Oberliga team VfB Hüls 14-0 (10-0) on Wednesday. New signing Sebastian Polter scored his goals one and two for his new employers, while Frenchman Florent Mollet also made his goal debut.
On Saturday, TuS Blau-Weiss Lohne will be the next opponent in Schalke’s pre-season. In addition to other friendlies, the Royal Blues will be contesting their traditional training camp in Mittersill, Austria, from July 11th to 18th.
The first competitive game under the leadership of new coach Frank Kramer will take place on July 31 in the first round of the DFB Cup at regional league club Bremer SV.
