FC Bayern rejected winter change from “giant talent”.

Taylor Booth will leave Bayern Munich at the end of the season. However, a possible change during the past winter transfer window did not materialize.

FC Bayern must let Taylor Booth move to FC Utrecht on a free transfer in the summer. As confirmed by the Dutch first division team, the right-back will switch to the Eredivisie next season. However, an immediate commitment on Deadline Day failed.

According to “Sky”, FC Bayern had the opportunity to sell Booth to Utrecht in the winter and in return collect a transfer fee in the mid-six-figure range. However, Munich is said to have rejected the Dutchman’s offer. The 20-year-old will therefore play for the second team of the record champions in the second half of the season.

But after the season Booth joins FC Utrecht. According to the club, the American will receive a contract in the cathedral city until mid-2025.

Booth is denied a breakthrough at Bayern

“Taylor is a huge talent who is currently playing for FC Bayern Munich and has now also been invited to the American national team,” said Utrecht’s technical director Jordy Zuidam on the homepage of the Eredivisie table seventh: “With him we are bringing in a dynamic midfielder with a lot of footballing skills. It’s a box-to-box player who plays with a lot of energy and is therefore really a player who fits into our system. We’re proud that we were able to convince him to choose us. “

Meanwhile, Booth spoke of a “perfect step” for his development. The full-back switched to Bayern Munich in January 2019. However, Booth has only been used once for the Munich first team. In the current season, the US professional is mostly active for the regional league team before moving to the Netherlands in the summer.
