FC Bayern may, at least in theory, use 50 percent of its Allianz Arena again in the future. The Bavarian cabinet decided on Tuesday to relax the corona measures announced by Prime Minister Markus Söder. The measures should apply from Wednesday.
While maintaining the 2G-Plus rule and the FFP2 mask requirement, the permitted occupancy increases from the previous 25 percent to 50 percent, but a maximum of only 15,000 viewers are allowed (previously: 10,000). Before the meeting, Söder had already spoken of an “entry into the exit” of the restrictions.
SpVgg Greuther Fürth is therefore allowed to sell 8,300 tickets in the home game against Hertha BSC on Saturday. The Bayern basketball team could welcome 3,350 fans to the Audi Dome against the Fraport Skyliners on Sunday.
With the relaxation of the corona virus, Bavaria is going beyond the previous agreements between the federal and state governments. The next federal-state summit will take place next week (February 16).
