Ex-BVB attacker to Chelsea? Tuchel is hot for two offensive stars

BVB reunion in London? Chelsea, coached by Germany Thomas Tuchel, are reportedly interested in signing two top strikers, Ousmane Dembélé and Raheem Sterling. That wrote the English newspaper “Daily Mail”.

Tuchel had once worked successfully with Dembélé at Borussia Dortmund. The French world champion would be available on a free transfer as his contract with FC Barcelona expires.

Sterling still has a contract with English champions Manchester City until 2023. A transfer fee of £60 million is under discussion. At Chelsea there is a need in attack, as Romelu Lukaku is likely to leave the club for Inter Milan.

Recently there had been reports that the new Chelsea boss Todd Boehly is said to have spoken to superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s advisor.

Jorge Mendes and Boehly are said to have met in Portugal last week, as “The Athletic” reported on Saturday night. Whether both sides spoke specifically about the future of the 37-year-old football superstar or a possible change remained open at first.

At Chelsea, Boehly was recently appointed CEO with immediate effect after the club was taken over by a consortium led by the US businessman. He is also said to take on the role of sporting director for the time being.

The club were temporarily banned from player transfers and contract negotiations due to sanctions imposed on former owner Roman Abramovich over the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
