European Handball Championship: Poland complains about the outbreak of the Corona virus

Shortly after arriving at the European Handball Championship in Slovakia, Germany’s opponent in the preliminary round, Poland, had five cases of corona to complain about.

As the association announced, Adam Morawski, Piotr Chrapkowski, Jan Czuwara, Kacper Adamski and Damian Przytula tested positive for the virus. The quintet is well, asymptomatic and in isolation.

At the end of the preliminary round on Tuesday (6 p.m. / ZDF), the Poles will face the selection of the German Handball Federation (DHB). According to the hygiene concept of the European Handball Federation (EHF), the mandatory quarantine for players who tested positive during the European Championship can be reduced from 14 to five days if two negative PCR tests are taken.

Other German opponents in the preliminary round are Belarus on Friday (6 p.m. / ARD) and Austria on Sunday (6 p.m. / ARD).
