Edin Terzic dissatisfied after the first BVB test

Coach Edin Terzic was not 100 percent satisfied after Borussia Dortmund’s first friendly in pre-season.

“We would have wished for a better performance,” the coach was quoted as saying on the club’s website after the 3-1 win at Lüner SV in the Westphalian league.

However, the 39-year-old took into account that BVB started with a better junior selection on Tuesday evening. “You have to give the boys that after a tough week of training and with a lot of young guys for whom it was the first time to train and play at such a level,” said Terzic: “It was a good test for that.”

A week after the start of training, Terzic only had Mats Hummels, Youssoufa Moukoko and Mahmoud Dahoud from the established players. The prominent newcomers and national players were not yet in action.

In the game, the BVB coach saw a “proper phase at the beginning of the second half. We had clarity on the ball and were immediately there to win it back if we lost it. I liked that, but I would have wanted from the first second and then to the end.”

BVB: Meyer – Passlack (69 Simic), Collins, Hummels (46 Kamara), Rothe – Papadopoulos – Njinmah (46 Semic), Gürpüz (69 Dahoud), Michel (69 Rijkhoff), Aning (76 Ludwig) – Moukoko (46th finch)

Gates: 0-1 Aning (45′), 0-2 Fink (54′), 0-3 Gürpüz (62′), 1-3 Anafai (78′)
