ARD doping expert Hajo Seppelt cannot travel to Beijing for the Olympic Games as planned.
The TV journalist gave a positive corona test, as ARD team boss Christoph Netzel confirmed to the “Deutsche Presse-Agentur”.
After recovery, Seppelt will initially work in the joint Olympic studio of ARD and ZDF in Mainz.
It is currently unclear whether the reporter, who specializes in sports-political background reporting, will later be able to travel to Beijing, Netzel said: “I hope he can still fly.”
The games begin on February 4th.
