The German handball players are playing their final game at the European Championships against Russia with 14 players.
This was announced by the German Handball Federation (DHB) on Tuesday afternoon. In addition to the 15 corona cases reported so far in the German team, there were no more, so national coach Alfred Gislason has no additional failures to complain about in the game on Tuesday evening (6 p.m. / ZDF).
There will be no comeback against Russia for players who have tested positive during the European Championship. According to the DHB, “the last players and delegation members who failed during the tournament due to positive PCR test results are on their way home”.
All remaining team members will start their journey home from Bratislava to Frankfurt am Main on a charter flight on Wednesday morning.
