DHB star Maidhof extended in Bietigheim

National handball player Julia Maidhof will stay with the German runner-up SG BBM Bietigheim for at least another year. The 23-year-old left-hander extended her contract, which expired at the end of the season, for another season. The club announced on Tuesday.

“I feel completely at ease and see my sporting development in Bietigheim as not yet over. With this team, including the coaching staff, we want to continue to achieve great things and celebrate many sporting successes,” said the backcourt player in a press release.

Maidhof switched from HSG Bensheim/Auerbach to two-time German champions in the 2020/21 season and finally matured into a national player. Born in Aschaffenburg, she has now played 25 international matches for the selection of the German Handball Association (DHB), scoring 87 goals.
