DFB women: Däbritz back in team training

National player Sara Däbritz returned to team training two days before the start of the European Championship.

After slight muscular problems, the Olympique Lyon midfielder completed the full session at Grasshoppers Rugby Football Club in London-Brentford on Wednesday morning. So Däbritz should be ready for the first game against Denmark on Friday (9 p.m. / ZDF and DAZN).

On the two days before, Däbritz had only trained individually after arriving in England. The 27-year-old has been plagued by the symptoms since the end of the final training camp in Herzogenaurach. With 86 caps, Däbritz is the most experienced player in the DFB squad after captain Alexandra Popp (114 caps). She was the last to join the DFB team in preparation because the season in France ended later.

After the duel with the European runners-up, the DFB selection will meet co-favorites Spain (July 12) and outsiders Finland (July 16) in Group B at the EURO.
