The Danish women’s national soccer team, the opening opponents of the DFB team at the European Championships in England, was concerned about the attack in a shopping center in Copenhagen.
The team’s media appointments scheduled for Monday have been canceled because of the bloody killing on Sunday, which left at least three people dead.
“This terrible event has moved the whole team and the staff,” said national coach Lars Söndergaard: “Days like these you really realize that there are things that are more important and bigger than football. All our thoughts are with the victims and their relatives.”
The Vice European Champions traveled to London on Monday, where they will meet the German selection on Friday (9:00 p.m.). Press meetings were scheduled before departure and after landing on the island.
