DeAndre Ayton points to the Indiana Pacers

One of the great soap operas of the summer could come to an end, since according to sources from journalist John Gambadoro, center DeAndre Ayton would be very close to reaching a long-term agreement with the Indiana Pacers.

In the last few hours, the Pacers management would have been very interested in signing him, and as a possible part of the agreement, they could offer a ‘sign and trade’ operation in which Myles Turner would be the main currency.

Ayton made it clear that his future is not in Arizona after they did not offer him the maximum salary, and given the little interest he has aroused in this 2022 free agency, his signing by the Pacers could be to his liking, since it would form a promising duo alongside young point guard Tyrese Haliburton.

The one who was number 1 in the 2018 Draft played 58 official games last year (all as a starter) with figures of 17.2 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 29.5 minutes per day.

For his part, Turner was unable to finish the season due to an injury that only allowed him to play half the year with figures of 12.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 1 assist and 2.8 blocks in 29.4 minutes. .
