Darts star Fallon Sherrock faces major disappointment

Fallon Sherrock has rocked the darts scene for the past two years, making headlines around the world. Now the Brit is threatened with a bitter disappointment.

Fallon Sherrock is undoubtedly one of the most famous darts stars. The 27-year-old wrote history with her successes against Ted Evetts and Mensur Suljovic at the PDC World Championship 2020, as no woman has ever won a game at the professional world championship.

As a result, Sherrock repeatedly provided highlights. The Englishwoman sensationally reached the final of the Nordic Darts Masters last year and was only stopped there by former world number one Michael van Gerwen. At the prestigious Grand Slam of Darts, Sherrock became the first woman to reach the quarterfinals. The “Queen of the Palace” defeated Germany’s number one Gabriel Clemens, among others.

But Sherrock was missing from the start list for many tournaments, because the darts star does not have a tour card with the professional association PDC, which entitles him to participate in most events. The Englishwoman is currently competing in the so-called Qualifying School. Tour cards for the next two seasons are played out every year.

Darts star Sherrock with two bankruptcies

However, things are looking bad for Sherrock at the moment. Although the darts queen made it to the final phase, the World Cup participant was eliminated in the first round on the first two days. So Sherrock had to admit defeat against Danny Lauby (1:6) and Joshua Richardson (5:6).

The respective daily winners have the Tour Card for sure. In addition, the 13 players with the best points secure their place on the professional tour. Due to their two opening bankruptcies, Sherrock is currently in 98th place with zero points.

So the darts discovery needs great results on the two remaining days if the dream of the PDC tour is to come true.
