Another German show jumper, Daniel Deußer, has won a stage of the well-rewarded Global Champions Tour.

The 40-year-old, who lives in Mechelen, Belgium, beat the competition in Cannes on the stallion Bingo Ste Hermelle with a flawless ride in the jump-off in 34.62 seconds, earning him prize money of 100,000 euros.

Second was the American Spencer Smith with Theodore Manciais (0/34.90), followed by the Briton Ben Maher with Faltic (0/35.68).

A week earlier, Christian Ahlmann from Marl had won the jumping of the Global Champions Tour at the Hamburg Derby. In Cannes he missed the jump-off with Solid Gold Z after one mistake and finished eighth.
