🔥Cristiano Ronaldo and Luke Shaw are expected to start for Manchester United against West Ham.

Manchester United return to Premier League action against West Ham United at home on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag’s team defeated FC Sheriff in the Europa League on Thursday, extending their unbeaten record in all competitions to seven games. The Hammers, who are eighth in the table, are up next.

Ten Hag’s team is essentially resolved in terms of personnel, with only a few concerns to worry with. Following Raphael Varane’s thigh injury, centre-back has become a little concern. After leaving the previous league game against Chelsea after an hour, the Frenchman has been ruled out of United’s schedule until the World Cup begins next month.

Skipper Harry Maguire recovered just in time, appearing for 45 minutes against Sheriff in midweek.

He is unlikely to be fit enough to start against the Hammers, thus Victor Lindelof appears to be a safe bet to resume his combination at center-back with Lisandro Martinez. Diogo Dalot should keep up his consistent form after scoring in midweek, while Luke Shaw is likely to replace Tyrell Malacia, who started against Sheriff.

Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes appear to be sure starters in midfield, and Christian Eriksen should start alongside them.

Marcus Rashford, the club’s top goalscorer with six, should retain his place in the front three. Cristiano Ronaldo scored on Thursday, and with his most recent misdeed behind him, Ten Hag may decide to give him a rare league start.

If that is the case, Antony and Jadon Sancho appear to be in a straight shootout for the remaining forward spot. Antony did himself no favors midweek, as the Brazilian was hauled off at halftime after an unnecessary display of showboating. However, Sancho’s recent underwhelming performances suggest he may lose out here.
