Change to Hannover 96? Decision made by FC Bayern youngsters

In the last few days, speculation has increased that second division club Hannover 96 wants to strengthen their squad with young striker Armindo Sieb from FC Bayern. A decision has now been made on the personnel.

Hanover’s manager Marcus Mann told the “Hanover newspaper“that the U19 national spier will no longer come from Munich to Lower Saxony this winter.

“Bayern won’t let him go in the winter,” said the 96 official, who would have loved to strengthen the professional squad in table 13 for a short time.

Hannover 96 has a serious offensive problem in the second Bundesliga this season, they have only scored 15 goals in 20 league games so far. Together with bottom FC Ingolstadt, which also has 15 goals, this means the worst value in the second division.

Those responsible for the club recently sounded out the market intensively and came across Bayern-Youngster Sieb, who is used in the second team of the record champions in the Bavarian regional league. There, the 18-year-old has already played 20 games this season, in which he scored three goals.

Even if a loan deal failed this winter: H96 manager Mann made no secret of the fact that the Bayern talent will “automatically become an issue again” at Hanover in the summer. Sieb is “an interesting player”, which from a 96 point of view will also apply next summer.

Sieb is contractually bound to FC Bayern until 2023. The native of Halle has not yet made the final leap to the pros of head coach Julian Nagelsmann.

Last season, when he was 18, he played for the Munich pros in the DFB Cup and came on as a substitute in the second half of the first round duel in Düren in October 2020.
