BVB will probably find buyers for Akanji

After a long search, Borussia Dortmund has apparently found a buyer for Manuel Akanji. The central defender of BVB is probably drawn to the Italian Serie A.

As the “picture” and “Gazetta dello Sport” report that Inter Milan is serious about courting Akanji. According to this, the Swiss is high on the Nerazzurri’s list.

Akanki is set to replace Milan Skriniar at the top Italian club. The 27-year-old Slovakian is about to move to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to the German tabloid, Inter are ready to pay up to €30m for Akanji. An official offer has not yet been received by the BVB office.

Akanji’s contract with Borussia Dortmund is only dated until 2023. It is very likely that the central defender will leave BVB this summer.

Twice he is said to have rejected a better endowed offer for an extension. Dortmund have already made improvements in the defensive center with Nico Schlotterbeck and Niklas Süle.

Most recently, Akanji is said to have been offered to Arsenal. This was reported by the “Mirror”. Accordingly, the defender’s advisors hope that Akanji’s national team-mate Granit Xhaka will put in a good word for his compatriot.

Schulz and Guerreiro are also considered candidates for sale

In addition to Akanji, Nico Schulz and Raphael Guerreiro are also among the sales candidates at the Revierklub. Schulz, who is still tied until 2024, has never really been able to meet expectations since moving from Hoffenheim. The club will have to write off large parts of the 25 million euros that BVB transferred to TSG in 2019, even if it is sold.

Guerreiro (contract until 2023) was unable to repeat his previous performances in the past season and was unstable. Therefore, talks are planned in the near future. According to “Bild” information, sports director Sebastian Kehl wants to speak plain language in these and literally put the pistol on the left-back’s chest. Either the 28-year-old extends or he has to go this summer.
