So far, Borussia Dortmund has held back in the current winter transfer window. It is very unlikely that much will change there – only one or the other reservist could still leave BVB.
“On the admissions side, I don’t see the probability as high,” said the designated sports director Sebastian Kehl, with a view to Dortmund’s transfer activities in the “Sport1 double pass”.
On the cancellation side, however, things look different. “There are questions, maybe something else will happen there. I don’t think there will be an awful lot of jumps,” said Kehl, without being more specific.
One player who could leave BVB in the summer is Roman Bürki. The Swiss doesn’t play a role at all this season and wasn’t even in the squad recently.
The former BVB keeper Roman Weidenfeller therefore advises Bürki to make a change. “I think Sebastian Kehl was looking for a conversation with him. Roman cannot be satisfied with not playing,” said the 41-year-old on the TV show, adding: “If he still wants to advance his career, he has to he’s standing on the pitch.”
Most recently, Ligue 1 record champion AS Saint-Étienne was said to be interested in Bürki. Instead, ASSE loaned goalkeeper Paul Bernardoni from league rivals SCO Angers until the end of the season.
Adeyemi ‘is an interesting player’
During the program, Sebastian Kehl also commented on the alleged interest in Karim Adeyemi from RB Salzburg. Rumors about BVB courting the national player have been around for months.
“He’s an interesting player. We’re trying to do our homework,” said Kehl when asked about Adeyemi: “I can’t say more about that.”
In early December, “Bild” even reported an agreement between the district club and the object of desire. Adeyemi wants to sign a five-year contract with BVB.
However, the “kicker” contradicted this. Accordingly, Adeyemi has not yet made a decision about his future. There is a lot to be said for an agreement with BVB, but this has not yet taken place.
A major hurdle in poker for Adeyemi should also be the Salzburg transfer fee for Borussia. At least 40, according to a report by “Salzburg24” even 50 to 60 million euros, the Austrians are probably calling for their currently most valuable player
