Berliner Lindberg nominated for Denmark

Hans Lindberg from the handball Bundesliga club Füchse Berlin has been appointed to the European Championship squad for the Danish national team.

As the capital city club announced on Friday, the 40-year-old right winger was called up by coach Nikolaj Jacobsen after Johan Hansen (TSV Hannover-Burgdorf) was injured.

Lindberg, who travels to the team on Friday, won the European Championships with Denmark in 2008 and 2012 and won the World Cup on home soil in 2019.

In addition to Lindberg, the foxes pros Lasse Andersson and Jacob Holm are also in the squad for the Danes, who will meet Slovenia in Group A in Hungary on Saturday after beating Montenegro (30:21) in the opening game.
