The contract negotiations with world footballer Robert Lewandowski should be the top priority for FC Bayern Munich in the coming weeks. This advice gave the Munich team their long-time player and CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge.

In the recent past, there has always been wild speculation about how things will continue with the now 33-year-old superstar from FC Bayern, who still has a current contract with the German record champions until summer 2023.
So far, Lewandowski had only publicly made it clear that he is far from thinking about retiring as a footballer matures and would like to play at world-class level for several more years. Whether that will inevitably be at FC Bayern has not yet been finally clarified – especially since the Munich over-30 players usually only offer one-year contracts to sign.
Ex-club boss Rummenigge gave his heart club a clear recommendation to do everything for an extension with the second best Bundesliga goalscorer of all time. Lewandowski recently scored his 300th Bundesliga goal in a 4-0 away win at 1. FC Köln.
