Thomas Müller is still on break, his wife is already involved in sports. While the football professional only starts the pre-season preparations with record champions FC Bayern Munich on July 8, Lisa Müller is sitting in the saddle at the CHIO in Aachen.
With Chuck Bass, the 32-year-old dressage rider made her big appearance in the supporting program of the world’s largest horse show in a Prix St. Georges. The husband is the biggest fan and helper on duty.
“We’re both excited,” said the national player before his wife’s first CHIO ride. So far, the Müllers have only been in Aachen as spectators, now the rider has been nominated for the first time.
When asked by a moderator at the “Neuland” congress in Aachen, Thomas Müller said he feels comfortable as a “player’s wife”. He also has a bag with him when riding, with “everything you need: sugar, a towel and fly spray”.
“I’m happy to be part of the tournament,” explained the soccer professional. A horse is an “emotion exchange partner,” he said happily. The horse has the “advantage that it cannot speak”. When he talks to his wife, “riding is the number one topic.”
