National soccer player Thomas Müller is looking forward to the start of the new season.
“There’s a positive feeling in the air when I think about the Bundesliga, even though we’re still in the summer slump,” said the Bayern Munich professional to “SIS” at the #neuland congress in Aachen: “I’m really looking forward to it the new season.”
Müller was impressed by the transfer activities of the competition. “Something is happening in the Bundesliga,” he said. “Borussia Dortmund have signed a few players and we also have three new ones.” He was “curious to see how the first games go”.
FC Bayern will play Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt for the Bundesliga opener on August 5 (8:30 p.m.). King transfer Sadio Mané, who the record champions stole from Liverpool FC, will also be there.
“I’m really looking forward to him. He’s a huge transfer for Bayern,” said Müller: “In recent years he’s not only been successful in the club but also in the national team and has shown how important he is for his teams can.”
For the 2014 world champion, Mané is “a super-professional guy” who has “naturally great athletic ability”. “I’m looking forward to doing the first training sessions with him, getting to know him, being on the pitch and getting a feeling for each other,” said Müller.
