Bayern Munich | Kahn sure: Nagelsmann can handle the pressure

CEO Oliver Kahn from FC Bayern Munich expects that after a turbulent transfer summer, the great pressure for coach Julian Nagelsmann will not be a problem.

“Everyone has to deal with it at FC Bayern. That’s the way it is. Julian knows that and can deal with it. It’s always a big challenge and responsibility to face it,” said Kahn in an interview with the media group “Münchner Merkur/tz “.

Nagelsmann was “an important piece of the puzzle” in the transfers, said Kahn, “because he explains to the players how he plays football and what role they can play in the system. That’s what interests the player the most. The belief that what a coach gives to the player is very important.”

Kahn optimistic at FC Bayer

The departure of world footballer Robert Lewandowski is offset by the additions of Matthijs de Ligt, Sadio Mané, Ryan Gravenberch and Noussair Mazraoui. Munich paid around 120 million euros for the transfers.

Kahn doesn’t want to deal with the possibility of a disappointing season. “I’m not worried at all that the season will go wrong. Of course there can be difficulties, like in every season. But we’ll moderate that together,” said Kahn. “When we realize there is a problem, we all have enough experience to find solutions.”
