Bayern Munich | Future of Süle and Tolisso “completely open”

After Kingsley Coman’s contract extension was recently signed and sealed, another squad construction site at FC Bayern has been closed. Nevertheless, there is still a need for action in Munich. Especially since the future of a duo is still undecided.

The working papers of central defender Niklas Süle and midfielder Corentin Tolisso end after the current season. Whether one agrees on an extension of the cooperation or a separation, should still not be decided. “For both of them, further employment is currently completely open,” says the “kicker” in this context.

Süle has therefore already received a new contract from the club. FC Bayern is said to have included Süle’s “performance and actual performance” in the past “with two cruciate ligament tears (2014/15 and 2019/20)”.

In addition, the association is currently still considering whether an extension with Süle for five years and a significantly higher salary is feasible.

The 26-year-old himself can actually look forward to the negotiations calmly. Under coach Julian Nagelsmann, Süle has long been a regular and top performer at FC Bayern, and if he is available for free in the summer, the market for the German international should be lush. Most recently, there was always a move to the English Premier League and interest from FC Barcelona.

FC Bayern: No “blatant turnaround” expected at Süle

According to the report, Süle will not be put in the way in Munich if he does not accept the club’s offer. With Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rüdiger from FC Chelsea, two potential successors are already ready. Both are also free transfers in the summer and are accordingly in demand. Rumors have been circulating about FC Bayern, but they are not “about to sign a contract quickly,” they say.

While one would basically like to keep Süle, the “kicker” suggests that Tolisso’s time in Munich is numbered. Despite the Frenchman’s recent good performances, a “blatant trend reversal” is not to be expected, according to the specialist magazine. You would expect consistently strong performances and fewer injuries.

As an alternative, FC Bayern should deal with Denis Zakaria from Borussia Mönchengladbach. The Swiss is also free of charge after the season.
