Bundesliga club Bayern Leverkusen has committed its junior player Emrehan Gedikli to themselves for another year.

As the club announced on Wednesday, the 18-year-old signed a new contract until the summer of 2023.

The Germany U19 international has been with Bayer since 2010 and made his professional debut last season. Usually the player plays for the U19.

“Emrehan is a good player in the penalty area who struggled with a few minor injuries in the first half of the season. But his development is promising,” said sporting director Simon Rolfes: “Now it will be important for him to get match practice at the highest possible level.”
