Franz Wagner led the Orlando Magic to their tenth win of the season in the NBA.

The German was the best pitcher of the game with 24 points in the 119:103 (67:51) against the Detroit Pistons – and also won the duel between the two best rookie players against Cade Cunningham.

Picked first by the Pistons preseason, Cunningham missed his first 11 shots of the game and ended up with eight points. Moritz Wagner contributed two points, rebounds and assists for Orlando from the bench.

The Boston Celtics with Dennis Schröder lost to the Atlanta Hawks 92:108. Schröder came off the bench and converted just one shot for two points, and he also had three assists and three rebounds. It was a sixth straight win for the Hawks, led by All-Star Trae Young.

The Los Angeles Clippers with Isaiah Hartenstein suffered a 114:121 loss at the Miami Heat. Hartenstein scored eight points. While the Heat (32-17) lead the Eastern Conference, the Phoenix Suns (39-9) are the best team in the West and the league. The 134-124 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves was the Suns’ ninth straight win.
