The German badminton championships will be moved from February to summer due to the corona pandemic.

This was announced by the German Badminton Association (DBV) on Tuesday. The tournament, which is based in the Seidensticker Hall in Bielefeld, is now scheduled to take place in East Westphalia from July 28th to 31st.

Last year, the title fights were also postponed to the summer and moved to Mülheim an der Ruhr at short notice. The 2022 tournament was scheduled from February 3rd to 6th.
