andball superstar Sander Sagosen celebrates his dream wedding despite crutches

Handball superstar Sander Sagosen from THW Kiel said yes to his longtime girlfriend Hanna Bredal Oftedal last Sunday. Numerous greats of handball sport were also guests at the dream wedding.

Sagosen posted some footage of his wedding in Norway on his Instagram story. Particularly striking: The backcourt player had to spend part of the day on crutches.

Sagosen only broke his left ankle and ruptured the syndesmosis ligament in the final sprint of the HBL season and will be out for up to eight months.

Numerous prominent handball players were guests. For example, THW teammate Rune Dahmke, who is with world handball player Stine Bredal Oftedal – the bride’s sister – posted a photo of the wedding.

Teammate Harald Reinkind from Kiel, compatriot Magnus Röd from SG Flensburg-Handewitt and the two Norwegian internationals Henny Reistad and Silje Solberg were also there.

Sagosen’s wife Hanna Bredal Oftedal is no stranger to the handball scene. The 27-year-old played in the first Norwegian, Danish and French leagues and was even a Norwegian national team player. In 2019 she had to end her career due to an injury.

Sander Sagosen leaves THW Kiel for home

Sagosen moved from Paris Saint-Germain to THW Kiel in the summer of 2020. According to the wishful thinking of the bosses, the 26-year-old should herald a new era for the zebras.

But Sagosen decided not to renew his contract and join Norwegian club Kolstad after the 2022/2023 season.

In addition to Sander Sagosen, Bundesliga professionals Magnus Röd (SG Flensburg-Handewitt/2023), Magnus Gullerud (SC Magdeburg/2022) and Janus Smarason (Frisch Auf Göppingen/2022) are also joining the new project in Norway.
