Alpine skiing Anna-Lena Forster with double success in Are

Four-time world champion Anna-Lena Forster also underpinned her medal ambitions for the Paralympics at the Alpine World Cup in Are.

The 26-year-old monoskier won both the Super G and the giant slalom with ease a week after her successful World Championships; the slalom was canceled due to poor weather conditions.

The visually impaired Noemi Ristau also took third place in the giant slalom and in the standing class Anna-Maria Rieder in the giant slalom and Super G for the German Disabled Sports Association (DBS).

In the men’s standing class, Leander Kress achieved the best result with tenth place in the Super G.

The last World Cup races before the Beijing Paralympics, which took place from March 4th to 13th, took place in Are.
