Ahlmann with second victory in the Global Champions Tour

Christian Ahlmann won his second competition of the Global Champions Tour this year.

A month after his success at the Derby tournament in Hamburg, the rider from Marl was unbeatable on Saturday evening in Stockholm.

The 47-year-old showed the fastest clean ride in the jump-off of the EUR 334,000 test on Dominator and was eleven hundredths of a second ahead of Henrik von Eckermann of Sweden on King Edward. Ahlmann received 110,550 euros for his success.

A total of six riders had reached the jump-off. Marcus Ehning from Borken also remained flawless and finished third on Stargold, seven hundredths behind von Eckermann.

Stockholm was the eighth of 15 stations in the million series. It was already the sixth victory this season for the German riders. Ahlmann himself, Ludger Beerbaum twice, Katrin Eckermann and Daniel Deußer had previously won the highly prized competitions. Ahlmann also leads the overall ranking.
