Slovenian cycling star Primoz Roglic dislocated his shoulder when he fell on the fifth stage of the Tour de France on Wednesday.
As the 32-year-old explained after the section characterized by cobblestone passages, he quickly put his shoulder back in place.
“I couldn’t put them right back on the street, so I had to sit in a spectator’s chair,” said Roglic: “I have a certain technique in situations like this.”
Roglic had a bad fall on the stage from Lille to Arenberg, which covered 19.4 kilometers of cobblestones on the route of the spring classic Paris-Roubaix. The tour second from 2020 then lost 2:08 minutes to compatriot and defending champion Tadej Pogacar and thus suffered a severe setback in the fight for the yellow jersey.
