The long-serving Swiss national player Admir Mehmedi is about to switch from Bundesliga soccer club VfL Wolfsburg to a foreign club.
Wolfsburg’s sports director Marcel Schäfer confirmed this without naming the club. According to information from “Sky”, this is the Turkish club Antalyaspor, which is coached by long-time Bundesliga professional Nuri Sahin.
“Admir is in very advanced talks with a club. It can be assumed that this will cross the finish line,” said Schäfer.
The 19-year-old defender Jannis Lang, on the other hand, has already left Wolfsburg and signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with second division FC Erzgebirge Aue. Both clubs announced this. The former U17 and U19 national player received a professional contract with VfL a year ago, but has not played in the Bundesliga.
