76ers fined for Embiid comeback

The NBA has fined the Philadelphia 76ers and basketball superstar Joel Embiid $50,000. The reason for this was a violation of the rule on reporting injuries.

In Embiid’s case, this was not done “in an accurate and timely manner” before Game 3 of the playoff series, an NBA statement said on Sunday.

Embiid surprisingly returned to the starting lineup for the 76ers in Friday’s game against the Miami Heat after suffering a concussion and facial fracture. According to the professional league NBA, the club failed to announce the current status of the center.
